Enriching lives through theatre, the Laguna Playhouse is one of the nation's premier professional theatre companies.

Its year-round season features an eclectic array of top notch plays, including many first-time productions of original works or national and regional premiere productions of established hits from London, New York and beyond. Though most of the offerings are dramas and comedies, the Playhouse has also established itself as one of the most acclaimed producers of unique small and mid-sized musical theatre works on the West Coast. A member of the prestigious League of Resident Theatres, Playhouse productions feature outstanding professional casts on contract with Actors' Equity Association.

The Playhouse is also the oldest continuously operating theatre company on the West Coast, founded in 1920 and operating as a noted amateur theatre company for its first seventy years. Among its distinguished alumni are Harrison Ford and Toni Tennille.

In addition to its main season, the Playhouse offers a highly-regarded program of theatre for young people, including classes and performances for young audiences, as well as professional theatre productions that tour to Southern California schools.

Its intimate, 420-seat, Moulton Theatre opened in 1969 and is located in the heart of the arts district, steps from an abundance of fine restaurants, galleries and the beach.
